Hottest day so far - surely up into the high 30’s - I think we all melted by lunch time! Nick, Rich, James, Bella and myself drove into town to restock a few supplies. On the way back we called into the old sand mine here - interesting to look at. More bike riding for the boys and then some cooling off in the river again. A very large tiger snake visited me by the river today, only a couple of feet away before slithering off into the bush. Bella was quite frightened and didn’t want to venture near the river again for a few hours. We stopped off at a second hand/junk store (mainly junk!) too and I picked up a couple of really fab crafting books for the kids - $3 in total.
Such a great trip. The kids are really enjoying themselves and we’re hoping to stay until Sunday now. We’ve hardly done any crafting this time - the weather has just been too hot for it.
The above photo is a little camp ground near the bridge (about 5 minutes drive from where we are camping).
