Bella blogging - experiment

Hi, this is Bella.  When I was at school today we did an experiment and it was about an egg.  When I got home from school I did the experiment for James, Mum and Dad.

Here is what you need:

You need a jug of water.  You need 2 glasses, 1 fresh egg and you need some salt.

First, fill up 1 glass of water right up to the very tippy top.  You fill the other one up a bit more than half and you carefully put the egg in the water and see what happens.  It will sink.

In the glass that's filled right up to the top you put 7 teaspoons of salt and stir it for about 1 minute.  Then you put the egg into it and see what happens.  It will float.

It's a good idea to do it outside because the water might spill.  I did mine on the table outside that we use for fun things.

Bella blogging - monkey madness

Yesterday my Mum read me a story on how to make stuff and I wanted to make a monkey.  I was going to make it all by myself but it was too hard.  My Mum made it for me and I helped and this is how to make a monkey.

Get two big socks that are white and then cut one sock half way up in the middle and then stuff it. Then you cut two ears and a nose and then you get some cotton and thread it around but leave a little space with the ears.  Then with the nose you make it so it's fat by getting cotton and stitching it around it and pulling it a bit.  For the arms and tail you cut a kind of candy stick shape and join it together.  Then you put the arms and the tail on the table and stuff them.  You buy the stuffing from Big W.  Then to join the top together you sew up the top of the head and then you get some cotton and sew around the head to make it so you can see that the head has a neck.  Then you sew the tail and the arms and the legs on.  Then you put a button for the nose and the two for the eyes.  Then you put a cross for the belly button with cotton and then you get some cotton and make a smile for it.  The end.

It was hard to make a monkey but at least I didn't have to do it all.  Then Mum took the photos of the things while James was playing a Star Wars game.  It looks quite weird with a tail hanging out but it looks cute at the same time.

Now my monkey is finished.  It is a very cool monkey.  It is white and I've got a collection of monkeys and now I've got eight.  The last one that I got was for my birthday and my Nan made it and it has a banana and the banana can come out.

My monkey is making friends.  She's making a friend with a small monkey that is 6 and I like all my monkeys.  I love monkeys.

Blogging by James

Hi, James speaking. I'm eleven years old and I like playing electronic games such as the Game Cube, Nintendo 64 ,Computer,Etc... I like art, reading and riding on my bike. Here are some photos I took. They each resemble one of the things I like doing.

This photo resembles my trumpet from which I borrow from school. I play in the Brass band. The instuments we have at school are Guitars, Recorders, Trumpets, Trombones and Euphoniums. The last three are some of the instuments in the Brass Band. Next year I'm still in the Band so I can learn more songs and become talented when it comes to the art of playing the Trumpet. I enjoy it and can't wait till next year.

This photo resembles my passion for art. I did this at our local art shop. They were having lessons for kids and I thought I might enjoy them so I gave it a go. This piece of artwork was painted on a canvas. We all liked to draw\paint different things so we were given the theme "circus". I've done a circus ring from a viewers perspective. That's why there's large black objects (heads) in the way.

This resembles my interest in reading. As you'll find out later I love Star Wars. As you can see I also love Star Wars books\magazines. I have a collection of really good books that i've got over the years and try to take good care of them.

This resembles my love for Star Wars. My first Star Wars collectable was a Darth Vader I got from my Dad when I was about One and a half. I know have a big collection of Star Wars and it's my most favourite hobby. My most favourite addition to my collection would have to be an action figure named Bossk. 

I was going to write more about my Star Wars, but at the moment I can't really think therefore I am ending my blog post for today.  I'm going to watch Mythbusters instead!

If Mum's cruel and she won't let me blog again before the new year then have a Merry Christmas.

Blogging by Bella

Hello I'm Bella. (Mum is typing for me). I like to play Bratz.  I like to scrapbook.  I like to help my Mum.  I have a pandora bracelet.  My Mum gave me the ladybird bead for it.

I got to take some photos, it was fun.  Here they are.

I like The Veronicas because they are cool.  My favourite song is Hook me up. It has lots of hook me ups in it and I love listening to it.

My nanny made this doll.  I like it. It is very precious to me and it has a necklace.  It is cool. It has wool hair and it sits up on my shelf. I don't normally play with it because it is precious and I don't want to play with it.

This is me and my Mum. I like this thing because it has a picture of my Mum and me on it.  It has flowers on it and my Mum made it. It is sooo cool.  I have a headband in the picture and Mum has a spotty tshirt. I keep it on my dressing table behind my jewellery box and near my radio.

This is James.  He is doing the wiggle thing where it seems like you've got two guns.  James is cool.  I like playing the nintendo and game cube with James and I like it when I sleep in and he reminds me about the lolly in the advent calendar.  I bounce on the trampoline with him and I ride on the bikes with him and I play tug of war with him.  But James always makes me fall over in tug of war.  I like playing lego with James and we make lots of lego cars and we make lots of castles and sometimes we get all the lego boxes and tip them out and make more lego castles.

This is my Christmas tree, it has lots of colours on it and it has an angel that James made on top.  Mum made some things that are on the Christmas tree and me too.  Do you like my tree?
