We have a new family addiction - Geocaching. After tracking down a couple of caches around our area on Friday, we headed off on a little trip yesterday to try and find some more. Our first stop was for a cache located near the Grandvewe Cheesery, so we popped in for some hot chocolate and the world's best melting moments biscuits - glorious!!

We'd never been to the Cheesery before but will definitely be heading back again sometime.

Here's Bella holding the coin out of the first cache:

This is a special coin all the way from Switzerland that's trying to make it's way back home. So, we can't keep this one - we had to log it onto the Geocache website and then we pop it back in another cache, in the hope that somebody else might find it and get it a little closer to it's home.
Then, we headed down to Middleton to find some more. There was an evil looking scarecrow on the side of the road:

After finding another cache, we travelled further down the coast to Eggs & Bacon bay.

The view was amazing and Bella was very happy to find a pretty bracelet inside the treasure box. When you take something from the cache you need to replace it. We've been adding trinkets, lucky coins and such, but I really want to start making some nice and simple goodies to leave - fabric bookmarks, little needle holders and such.

I know, he's funny.

We finished off the day with fish & chips by the river at Huonville - best fish and chips we've had in a long time, so good.

Have you been Geocaching? What goodies do you pop back in the cache as a trade? I'm on the lookout for new ideas.
P.S. For those unfamiliar with Geocaching, it's basically a high tech treasure hunt played with a GPS device, go HERE to find out more.
