Not really a lot to share so far this week. I've been busy working on some Tarisota projects for the gallery next month and knitting James' blanket (20 squares down, 40 to go).
Back in January a lovely lady called Pamela left a comment on my blog suggesting that I track down a copy of Miyako Kanamori's book - Sock and Glove (Creating charming soft friends from cast-off socks and gloves). I've had it on order at the library all this time and it finally arrived. It's a really beautiful book with a gorgeous story and super instructions to create lots of sock creatures. I'm really looking forward to finding some time soon to make a few of these with James and Bella....I'd highly recommend you ordering it from your local library. Thanks so much Pamela!!
Another book that also finally came with my library order this week was 'How to make books' by Esther K. Smith. It's another beautiful book with instructions on everything from sketchbooks, journals, accordian style books, pamphlets to stitched books (plus loads more). I'd really love to make a few of these to have on hand for the stories and projects that James and Bella will no doubt be working on throughout the year at home. I just need to find the time now....
P.S. The layout (long plaits) is for this week's post over at the Aussie Scrap Source blog using Hero Arts stamps.
