Last Thursday evening we set off on a camping adventure to Rivers Edge in Lonavale. There was not that much to do, except unhook our little caravan, sit by the camp fire and soak up the goodness.
Four nights passed us by and our time was spent resting, exploring, toasting marshmallows, crafting (more on that later), paddling our toes in the fresh river water and dreaming of staying put in our tiny camping bubble forever.
There were bike rides, games of cricket, evening UNO to be played and camp meals to cook. The mosquitoes were few and far between, blow flies at a minimum - although a few did find their way into our humble abode. No snakes to be seen on this trip (although I’m sure they were lurking) - only kookaburras, wallabies and our dog, Trooper.
We felt right at home in our sweet little caravan and it was ever so hard to pack up and return to the real world.
I have so much to share (and will) but for now I am washing, unpacking and frantically searching dates on the calendar to see when our next trip may be.
