When the lovely Rebecca tweeted me a link to THIS calendar journal project, I knew that it was something I needed to do in 2012.
Basically you have a whole stack of index cards - one for every day of the year - and every day you use one line on the card to write a diary entry. It can be something fun, exciting, mundane or even your thoughts for the day. So far I've recorded notes about birthday present shopping for my boy (he'll be 16 on Monday, 16!!), what we've had for dinner, a warhammer painting contest, making blackcurrant cordial from scratch and today was about my new purchase - but more on that in another post.
For the following year (which will be MUCH more fun to do) you use the second line on the index card to record your diary entry. Can you imagine after a couple of years how amazing all the entries will be to read?
Each month is separated with a postcard - but you can use anything, of course. I'm completely in love with the concept and think it's a very doable project. It's just a matter of getting into the right habit and keeping the index cards handy.
So, what are you waiting for? There is still time to whip one up yourself...go HERE for instructions.
