I've had Scandinavian Stitches: 21 Playful Projects with Seasonal Flair sitting on my book shelf for a few months now, with a million projects flagged for sewing. Yesterday I finally got off my bottom and sewed the road pillow out of the book:
It's another handmade Christmas gift to pop away, this one for my 7 year old nephew. I really enjoyed making the pillow and it was great to cross another gift off my making list. I upsized the pillow from the one in the book and drew out the pattern pieces a little larger by hand, to suit.
It took me a good afternoon to sew up - the individual houses, bus, etc.. were slightly time consuming to cut, iron on and sew. I think it's a lovely design for a little boy to pop on his bed. The photos are a little bit blurry - I snapped them this afternoon & forgot to check them on my camera before uploading...you get the idea though!
What have you made for Christmas so far?
