Helloosh! It's Bella here and I'm going to tell you how to make tortilla chips today. I've only made these one time but they were so yummy that I'm going to make them again. I used a recipe out of one of my kids cooking books, but I didn't have all the ingredients so I changed the recipe a bit.
Ingredients:
- 60 grams butter
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika
- pinch of salt and pepper
- 8 extra light tortillas
Step 1: Measure the butter and melt in the microwave. To do this you put the butter in a mug or cup and put cling wrap over the top, so it doesn't splatter everywhere. I melt my butter for 1 minute and then it's very hot, so you have to leave it in the microwave to cool down.
Step 2: In a little bowl, mix the parmesan cheese, sesame seeds, paprika, salt and pepper together. I used fresh parmesan cheese and I grated it.
Step 3: Use a pastry brush and spread the butter over the tortillas.
Step 4: Sprinkle the ingredients all over the tortillas.
Step 5: Cut them into wedges and cook them in a very hot oven (210 degrees) for about 6 minutes. When they are nice and cool you can eat them!! I like to make salsa sometimes, so I made some salsa to go with mine, but you can eat them plain as well. I will show you how to make salsa next week.
BYE!!!
