This week's Kidspot/Ford Territory challenge is to share my style. I've been thinking on this for a week or so now, asking friends (and my Mum) what they thought this included for me - personality, home and fashion wise. It's funny because I didn't realise that my style was so distinct until friends starting sharing their thoughts with me. It turns out that we were all on the same wave length, hooray!
So, what is my style?
In our home it's an eclectic mix of vintage and new. I adore combining op-shop pieces (like world globes, typewriters and antique games cupboard) with modern and fresh furniture. I enjoy cooking good old fashioned lunch box treats, baking pizza in our wood fired oven, but then there's the lure of eating out occasionally - weekend picnics, cafe stops and grabbing a hot chocolate on a cold day. Love.
I like to make greener choices - making my own washing powder, recycling/upcycling and baking from scratch using local & Australian produce, but on the flip side I couldn't live without my modern gadgets - Macbook, iPad and iPhone. I think it's good to have a mix of both, yes?
Happy, positive, caring, optimistic, softly spoken and extremely family orientated - that's me in a nutshell. I'm a home body at heart, but find there's nothing nicer than a camping trip and sitting around an open fire, marshmellows in hand with a pot roast cooking in the camp oven. Bliss.
Chunky necklaces, bangles, boots and jeans with a cute shirt - that's what I'm addicted to wearing this winter. But, I do love casual dresses with tights and a little black cardigan, it's nice to get dressed up every so often!
So, tell me - what's your style? Are you a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl (or guy!), a home body or somebody who likes to feel the fresh air in their lungs?
