Welcome to my final project in this series, some love buttons that you can make yourself:
They're easy and fast to make - are you seeing a pattern here? I love easy and fast craft ideas! They also make a nice gift to give a crafty friend. Here's what you'll need:
♥ Polymer clay (sculpey/fimo)
♥ Sculpey glaze - I like to use it because it gives the buttons a lovely shine
♥ A teeny tiny heart cutter - we bought ours from a $2 store in a kids cookie cutter set (for playdough)
♥ A thick darning needle - to make the holes with
♥ Foam mounting tape + white card - if you want to give the buttons to a friend
Roll out your Sculpey and use a mini heart cookie cutter to cut out some buttons.
Make two holes in the mini hearts with a thick darning needle.
Once the holes are all done you can pop them in the oven to cook - follow the directions on your polymer clay label. Mine had 10 minutes at 130 degrees.
Once they're out of the oven, add a layer of Sculpey glaze to make them all nice and shiny.
If you're giving the buttons away, secure them onto a mini sheet of white card with a small piece of foam mounting tape behind each button.
Also, just a reminder that if you pop over HERE, you'll be able to find my tutorial for making your own fabric love album:
I hope you've enjoyed our 'Hip Hip Hooray for Valentines' series this week. Tamar and I are about to start work on our next series, so we'll hopefully have that ready for you in the next month or so.
Oh and don't forget to check out Tamar's sweet project for today, it's a lovely one.
P.S. I have THREE giveaways tomorrow for you xoxo
