Peppermint bark, how I love you.
But, since I made this delicious batch for some nice work friends, love you I could not - okay, maybe the teeny edge trimmings that I chopped off the sides before packaging.
When you're giving small treats away to nice people, your packaging can make or break the gift. I only made half a batch of peppermint bark (using THIS fabulous recipe) which took 3 blocks of really good quality chocolate and after cutting the bark up into pieces it made enough for five people. But, that was only 4 pieces per person so I needed a nice idea for packaging to make it look all pretty and special.
I popped 2 pieces on a piece of baking paper (to eliminate sweating of the chocolate) added another layer of paper, 2 more pieces of peppermint bark with another top sheet of paper. A little bit of zig-zag stitch with the machine + red cotton and ta-da ..... all done and ready to give.
Are you making any treats or giving gifts in your work place this year?
