I've been working on some handmade decorations this last week or so. I'm using them as little extras to go with gifts and while they've taken hours to stitch, I've actually really enjoyed just sitting and stitching.
Both of these decorations are out of FA LA LA LA Felt, currently my most favourite craft book. I downsized the gingerbread man pattern a little and added a loop of cotton so that he could be hung on the tree.
I also have a whole pile of the felt mittens stitched up and ready to go. I'm packaging all of these decorations up just like I did the mittens too, in cellophane bags.
Here's my rumball recipe again too - you can find it HERE. I make a double batch of this every year and they're super easy to do and taste yummy. You can always swap the rum for orange juice too.
I know some of you have asked for the butteryscotch recipe too. Actually I felt that the recipe I used contained far too much butter in it - I had to drain off a heap of excess because I couldn't get it to absorb into the toffee. I'll share it tomorrow morning with you anyhow - perhaps you'll have better luck with the butter than me! It was still super yum - the rest of the family named it as a favourite and have been asking when I'm going to make another batch. Um, perhaps in the holidays once I get through all the Christmas cooking that's still on my *to do* list!!
