Bella has been home with stomach bug for the last two days, so it's been a good chance for me to catch up on things at home and squeeze in some crochet as well. We watched Swiss Family Robinson together on video (yes, video!) and crocheted a few rounds of our blankets. Bella's is coming along really nicely and her stitches are incredibly neat. I must say that her crochet momentum has dropped a little bit, I think she thought the blanket might be finished by now. You can see a peek of her progress below:
I also did a big double batch of chocolate chip cookies, to fill the biscuit tin and to freeze. The recipe is out of my most favourite cook book - Afternoon Tea. I must admit that I haven't cooked a lot of recipes yet, but I keep using the ones that I've made over and over again, they're just that easy and yum.
Ofcourse my cookies looked nothing like the stylized photo in the book, but they sure are tasty!
The pillow is still coming along nicely too and I'm really enjoying joining these squares as I go. I'm not going to enjoy sewing all the loose yarn ends in at the end though, those little suckers are hanging out everywhere!! I'm not sure what I'll do for the pillow back yet, perhaps just one giant granny square using all the colours on the front.
Oh and tomorrow my friend Helen is calling in to show me her completed mini square blanket. I'll take a photo or two and share with you, I know it's going to be beautiful!!!
Thanks for stopping by.
