Our tree house has had a little makeover. I'm not sure anybody has set foot inside here for the last year or so, but Bella and her best friend (Miss C) started planning a tree house secret hideout overhaul during the week, which included replacing the missing boards (thanks Rich), removing the foot of fallen leaves, spider webs and branches that lay inside the cubby and doing a little bit of home decorating inside.
Miss C created the rainbow 'Don't come in' sign and I sewed a very simple (like 5 minute simple) bunting for them to hang up inside, using some Grandmothers Flower Garden laminate scraps. I figured that the laminate would hold up pretty well with the rain and winter weather.
There were quite a few toys and accessories added to the cubby too, but they were all packed away at the end of the day. If the secret hideout excitement is still going strong in a few more weeks I'd like to add a chalk board and some little plastic chairs for the girls - so much nicer than sitting on the concrete bricks that are in there at the moment. Oh and a small plastic table for writing, because my goodness there was a whole lot of secret writing going on today!
I must say that it's very nice to see the tree house being used and enjoyed :)
