A couple of nights ago I sewed myself a new Christmas stocking:
I used some beautiful fabric that Corrie sent me from her Retro Mummy store (you can find it HERE) and combined it with thrifted doilies and pom pom trim. I used one of our other stockings (that I made a couple of years ago) to trace out a pattern and then whipped it up quickly - seriously it took half an hour from start to finish. I was feeling lazy though and should have really lined or at least overlocked the seams inside, but just left them raw instead.
There's just something about that pretty kraft coloured fabric that I love - and ofcourse I want to make more Christmassy things with it now.
Don't forget to pop over to Fiona's blog and check out her post for the day too! Oh and here are some sweet stockings that I found to share:
These ones are from Little Cotton Rabbits - there's a free tutorial for them too.
I love these darling stockings created by Linaloo.
And there's a lovely tutorial HERE for this patchwork stocking by Comfort Stitching.
