Today's Christmas post is talking about plastic baubles.
They're a round plastic ball that pulls in half (so you can fill it) with a little hole at the top for tying ribbon through. This year I'm adding a filled bauble to each Christmas present under the tree. You can usually find the baubles at most craft shops around this time of year. I bought mine online from Ribbons Galore (a box of ten).
They also look pretty hanging up and would be lovely on the Christmas tree as an advent calendar using rubons or stickers on the front to create the advent number.
Ideas for filling include lollies (if using unwrapped lollies ensure that you wash the bauble first), buttons, ribbons or embroidery cottons (for the crafty people), little necklaces or hair clips (for girls), rubber stamps or embellishments/alphabets (for the scrapbookers), playdough (remember to seal the bauble with sticky tape for this) or trinket toys (for boys).
Other fun things to include are pom poms, stickers, love messages, small hand felted toy, handmade Christmas decoration, cute erasers, money or anything that's teeny enough to fit in the bauble.
