Easter crafting & giveaway.
I thought it was about time to start some Easter crafting so we started this morning with our yearly egg blowing/dying session which is something that both James and Bella really look forward to doing every year.
After the eggs were finished they added spots of dye to some tissues, which will be nice backgrounds for the Easter cards we will make later on.
We then set up more mess on the dining table and while I sewed up some 'Happy Easter' bunting, James and Bella started work on a new painted canvas each.
Bunting is really hard to photograph I've decided!! The super cute ribbon and dangling chickens were part of a gorgeous Easter package that the super lovely Fiona sent me through the week.
This week my stats have just gone over the 200,000 mark - so somebody out there must be reading my daily dribble....lol. To celebrate I'm doing another little blog give away - a couple of a4 pieces of dotty felt, some embroidery cottons, a selection of Basic Grey 6 x 6 papers, ribbons, chipboard flowers, acrylic stars, wooden flowers and Queen & co felt.
Leave a comment today or tomorrow to be in the draw.
Ask me a question in your comment, tell me a fab Easter craft to make (or do) or just say hi :)))

Im out as I won last time. But I Love those eggs, I love how bella seems to stay so neat all the time! What we are doing... From spotty I grabbed some moulds and some oil based colours for chocolate. The kids spent a hapy afteroon painting the "details in the mould" with the coloured white choc ie the bunnys bow tie etc, and then after that had hardened I added the milk. They look fantastic and are great for the grandies.

Love your blog! Easter craft? I have my students make tissue paper eggs or butterflies. We wrap the tissue paper around the end of a pencil, glue it down, so it is sticking up. We start from the inside and work out, filling in all white areas. It's time consuming, but cute!

I think I'm addicted to your site- I have to check it everyday to see what inspiring crafts and exciting activities you have been up to! I have a 5 and 3 year old who love craft and we have just decorated our lounge room with an easter tree( branches with ribbons and plastic eggs hanging down) and a bunting of paper eggs the kids have decorated with pastels and then painted with food dye.

I saw that ribbon the other day over at Fionas shop - - was very tempted to get a metre or two. I am feeling inspired to make a bunting now too - how big are your triangles?
OMG the kids really do love that craft and who can blame them? That smile of James' sure is infectious!
Once again, inspiring, heart warming and just downright delightful blogging dearie.

I might try the old egg blowing craft this year although my ds will probably crush half of them LOL!
That knitted blanket is gorgeous, I wish I had the skills to knit. My grandmother was an expert knitter but it didn't get passed down to me ;)

Hello Melissa
As everytime I love the things you crafted!!!
What we did last easter is painting some little pots (pots that one usually needs to plant some herbs or flowers.) And after we put in some candle eggs , wrapped it with some rainbow-paper and we had a little gift!!
I really love your blog as you just know:-)
go on like this!!!!!!

I really enjoy reading your blog and my 8 yr old enjoys keeping up with the adventures of Bella! We made nests for tiny easter eggs the other day. Using the recipe for chocolate crackles but cornflakes instead of ricebubbles. Just spooned a bit into a cupcake paper and shaped into a nest to set. Then filled with eggs and a fluffy chick.

Of course we're reading Mel...love checking in and seeing what craftiness you're up to. Love trying your recipes too. The easy choc brownie slice was a hit with my 12 y.o. DD...we've made it a few times now. Cheers!

Your Easter bunting looks fantastic Mel! Love those colours and the ribbon trim is adorable! I'm not quite game enough to let my boys anywhere near food dye just yet(what a disaster that would be!)... but James & Bella's eggs look great!
