I'm not sure of the origin of this little felt reindeer pattern, but it may have come out of a craft book quite a few years ago. It's cute though and easy to make!
Materials:
Chocolate and green felt
Buttons (red for nose/cream for eye)
X2 red sequins to go on holly - alternatively use small red buttons.
Cream embroidery cotton (2/3 strands)
Ribbon for hanging (approx. 21cm)
Needle/pins/scissors/craft glue
How to:
Right hand click on the template below and save to 'my documents'. Then print out on an A4 piece of paper and cut out. (Again, I still don't know how to do a pdf file, but this should work nicely).
Cut out the template and pin onto 2 pieces of chocolate felt (for the front and back of reindeer). Cut out. Also cut out the two small pieces of holly using green felt.
Stitch on the two buttons for the eye and nose. Lightly glue on the holly and then stitch on the 2 sequins (I've used a french knot to hold them in position - alternatively glue these on as well).
Blanket stitch (or straight stitch/machine stitch) around the outside of the reindeer and remember to enclose the ribbon before stitching completely closed.
I chose not to stuff the reindeer - but he would actually look very cute with some stuffing.
