Fabric Cubby House
It could have done with a good iron to take the creases out, but I finished it late last night and wanted to have it on the table for when the kids woke up this morning. They LOVE it!! Bella is struggling on what to put in there - one minute it's going to be a baby house, then a book house and the list goes on. James is quite content just sitting inside and watching everyone through the little window.
The scrunched up blanket on the bottom really annoys me (anyone would think it was my cubby house to play in, lol) so I've been thinking this morning of maybe doing something that can tie on each leg of the table and stay out nice and straight while they are playing. I'm also thinking pillows - every good cubby needs pillows right???
No other news for today. James' asthma is so much better this morning, excellent. Before I go, a couple of kids craft shares. They've been busy digging into Bella's box of craft goodness (aka what I call junky stuff).
Oh and this sweet little felt convict hand puppet that James made at home (for a school project) when he was sick with the flu a couple of weeks ago. I think he did a great job with the blanket stitch :O)

It's gorgeous!! Much prettier than an old sheet over chairs!

Oh Mel,
I just love it. Can't wait to start on ours. All that work to be frustrated with the flooring, could you have a excuse to put a rug under the table (if you want one). Well you certainly are not going to see much of Bella and James for the rest of the holidays - I hope that you have lots of craft that you need to get done LOL.

Hi Mel
Just thought i would let you know that i lurk, every day lol, and love what you do. I love that you remind me what it was like to have little ones and do all this stuff. I don't love that it reminds me how my teenagers are not into all this anymore.
Keep posting I LOVE IT!
Hugs

WOW Mel, that is soooo cool....I have had the sewing machine out the past few days whipping up some bits for our school fair...and I am kinda liking the sewing again (I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed it)....I might just make one of these for the boys for our school hols coming up - they are usually "string the blankets over the lounge" boys - I think they would LOVE a pirate version of one of these....Thans ever so much for the inspiration! Glad James asthma has settled and I love there little creations...
